iSCSI Configuration UI included in Hyper-V 2008 R2

iSCSI Configuration UI included in Hyper-V 2008 R2

Originally Microsoft Hyper-V only included the command-line tools for configuring iSCSI devices. Now, anyone who has had to use these tools (namely iscsicli) will tell you that they are incredibly complicated and are very hard to use.  Now with Microsoft Hyper-V 2008 R2 we have included the graphical interface for configuring iSCSI - which is much, much, much more simple and easy to use.

All you have to do is to type in "iscsicpl" at the command prompt and you will see the graphical tool for configuring iSCSI (output from "iscsicli /?" is displayed in the background of this screen shot to help demonstrate the complexity that used to be there):

iscsicpl

Much nicer!

Cheers,
Ben
