Windows 7 and DirectAccess

Windows 7 and DirectAccess

Every wanted to connect from home or from the coffee shop to your corporate network without having to dial in through remote access (RAS) to the VPN? I do on a daily basis, and I am sure that many people get emails from people that point to internal sites or systems which force you to connect via a VPN, or in some cases you leave the action until you get back in the office in a week or so…..

Adam from Edge talks to Devrin who is a senior product manager in the Windows7 product group about DirectAccess. DirectAccess provides users with the experience of being seamlessly connected to their corporate network any time they have Internet access.  If their corporate network supports DirectAccess, the users don't need to connect via their Virtual Private Network in order to access corporate resources.  They can work as if they are in their office, no matter where they are.

This is the coolest technology and it will change the way we work outside of the office firewall. Take a peek here.
